Payment links in chat, and who gets credited

In FanEmpire you sell inside the chat. A chatter sends a Dropp payment link or a paid Vault set from the composer, and the chat shows an hourglass while the link is unpaid, then the amount once the fan pays. Each sale is credited to the chatter who made the link, and owners see every payment and who it’s credited to in the Sales report.

Step by step

Sell, wait, get paid, get credited

These five parts follow the film’s chapters, in the order a sale happens. Each one jumps to its moment in the video.

Sell from the chat

Connect Dropp once, open Sell in the fan’s chat, and the checkout link lands in your message.

  • Source (Owner or Admin, once)SettingsPayment sourcesAdd sourceEnter a Display name and your Dropp API token. Sell stays greyed out until a Dropp source is added.
  • Each ModelDropp setupChoose the Dropp creator who receives the money and a Dropp file from that creator’s library. Each Telegram account has to be attached to a Model. If a Model isn’t set up yet, creating a link fails with “Bind this model to a Dropp creator on Payment sources.”
  • Open SellSellIn the composer, next to Vault. On a phone, tap the $ button in the Send spot while the message field is empty.
  • AmountAny amountFixed amountCustomFixed amount chips are $10, $20, $50 and $100. Type a Custom amount up to $1,000 and click Generate. Any amount lets the fan choose and shows only when your Dropp key allows open amounts.
  • FeeFeeSeller · Split · BuyerIf you don’t change it, Seller stays selected.
  • SendThe link goes into your message box and waits there. Add a line and press Send.

  • PickVaultNext to Sell. Pick up to 10 photos or videos.
  • SendPPVSet the price, then click the PPV button. It shows your price, for example PPV · $50. Dropp sends the fan a blurred preview first and the original after they pay.

Tips

Good to know

  • Since the link lands in your message instead of going out on its own, you can add a line before you press Send.
  • If you switch chats while a link is being created, it still goes to the chat that asked for it. You’ll see “Pay link saved to the draft of the chat you left.”
  • You’ll find the same menu in the + Attach list too, under Payment link.
  • Check the Vault marks before you offer a set again. Sent as PPV with Paid means this fan already has it.
  • A PPV can’t be scheduled, and it only goes to a private chat with a fan.
  • With Buyer selected under Fee, the fan covers the Dropp fee. With Split they cover half of it. Either way, Gross comes out higher than the link price.

FAQ

Questions about payment links

Who gets credited for a sale?

The chatter who created the payment link or sent the PPV. FanEmpire records the credit when the link is created or the PPV is sent, so it doesn’t depend on who opens the chat later. An Owner or Admin can reassign a payment in Sales, with a reason.

How do I know the fan paid?

The hourglass in the chat goes away and a “Paid” notice shows the amount. Paid Vault items switch to “Paid”, and the payment is listed under Payments in the fan’s Client profile.

What’s the difference between Gross and Net?

Gross is the full amount the fan paid, including any Dropp fee the fan covered. Net is what your agency keeps after fees. You can switch between the two in the Sales report, where Net is the default view.

Can chatters see the Sales report?

Not by default. Sales needs money access, which Owner and Admin have out of the box. Chatters see their own credited total in the Shift panel, for the shift, today or this month.
